Overview

The WSET Level 3 course is an advanced qualification tailored for professionals working in the wine industry or for dedicated wine enthusiasts. Completion of the WSET Level 2 course is required before enrolling in Level 3.

 

Our courses are held face-to-face at the luxurious Corinthia Hotel in Central London, providing an immersive learning experience over five consecutive Saturdays.

Key Details

• Course Duration: 45 hours across five consecutive Saturdays (10:00 AM to 7:00 PM)
• Food: You will have a lunch break of 1 hour. Food is not included.

• Group Size: Small, intimate classes with a maximum of 18 students

• Course Materials: WSET Level 3 study pack will be sent to you within 7 working days after booking

• Qualification: Two-part exam (multiple-choice and short-answer questions, plus a blind tasting)

• Passing Score: A minimum of 55% is required to pass, with a certificate and lapel pin awarded to successful students

• Location: Corinthia Hotel Whitehall Place, Westminster, London, SW1A 2BD

Exam Information

At the end of the course, students will need to pass two exam units:

 

1. A 50-questions multiple-choice paper and a short-answer written paper, to be completed within 2 hours.

2. A blind tasting of two wines, to be completed in 30 minutes.

 

The exam will be held on the final day of the course, with a minimum score of 55% required to pass.

 

Note:

Students who fail the examination can re-sit the test on either of our two available dates during the year: the first week of March or the first week of November. The cost to re-sit the examination is £200, including VAT. To book your re-sit, please email us at least four (4) weeks prior to either date at mail@winetraining.co.uk.

All bookings are processed with the understanding that you have read and agreed to our terms and conditions, which can be found below.

 

• Study Requirements: Students are required to complete at least 30 hours of self-study before starting the course, due to the comprehensive nature of the material. Booking well in advance is recommended to allow sufficient time for preparation.

 

• Terms: All bookings are final after the 14-day cooling-off period, as per the Consumer Contracts Regulations. Refunds are only available within this period.

 

• Minimum Numbers: All courses are subject to minimum participant numbers. We reserve the right to make adjustments if necessary.

 

• Gifting the Course: IIf you are giving this course as a gift and you are not the student, please send us an email to mail@winetraining.co.uk with the following information of the actual student(s): Full name, Date of birth and email address.

Terms & Conditions

All bookings for our WSET courses and wine events are processed on the understanding that you have read and agreed to the following terms and conditions:

 

• Cancellations and Refunds

Wine Training School offers a refund policy only during the 14-day cooling-off period, in accordance with customer cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. This period begins on the day you book your course or event. After this time, no refunds will be provided under any circumstances.

 

• Course Availability and Changes

All WSET courses and wine events are subject to minimum participant numbers. Wine Training School reserves the right to change tutors, reschedule, cancel, close, or combine events or courses if necessary. Should any adjustments be made, we will notify all participants in a timely manner.

 

• Course Transfers

WSET courses and examination dates are fixed to the course you originally booked. Any request to transfer to an alternative date will incur an administration fee of £100.00, including VAT per student. All transfer requests must be submitted via email to mail@winetraining.co.uk at least 14 days before the original exam date. Transfers are subject to availability, and requests will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis. To avoid any issues, we recommend selecting future dates well in advance.

 

• Special Considerations

If you have any special requirements, such as dyslexia, that require special consideration for your examination, you must provide a medical certificate signed by a GP at least 25 working days before the examination. This must be communicated to us via email before making your booking, allowing us to inform WSET and arrange any necessary adjustments for your exam.
